This privacy policy explains how the Code Search website (“we”, “us”) handles your data when you visit code-search.techquests.dev.
What We Collect

Section titled “Contact Form”When you submit the contact form, we collect:
- Full name — to address you in our reply
- Email address — to respond to your inquiry
- Message content — to understand your request
Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms and delivered to us via email. Web3Forms acts as a data processor and does not store submissions beyond delivery. See their privacy policy for details.
Theme Preference
Section titled “Theme Preference”We store your selected theme (dark, light, or auto) in your browser’s localStorage. This is a functional preference stored locally on your device — it is not transmitted to any server.
What We Don’t Collect
Section titled “What We Don’t Collect”- No analytics or tracking — we do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, or any analytics service
- No cookies — this website does not set any cookies
- No fingerprinting — we do not collect device or browser fingerprints
- No third-party trackers — no advertising or social media tracking scripts
Self-Hosted Software
Section titled “Self-Hosted Software”Code Search is self-hosted software that runs on your own infrastructure. The Code Search application itself does not send telemetry, usage data, or any information back to us. Your code and data stay on your servers.
Data Retention
Section titled “Data Retention”Contact form submissions are retained in our email for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us via the contact form.
Your Rights
Section titled “Your Rights”You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of any data we hold about you
- Deletion — request we delete your data
- Correction — request we correct inaccurate data
